Solution Estate Awka to Make Anambra People Home Owners in 24 Months

Management and developers of Solution Estate, Aguaba Layout, Awka, Anambra State, have pledged their readiness to help Anambra people become home owners in the estate which is expected to be developed within a period of 24 months.

The managers of the estate, stated this at the groundbreaking ceremony and the unveiling of the model of the estate, held at the Solution Estate, site, Aguaba Layout, Awka, along Amansea-Ufuma Road,  Anambra State, yesterday, February 21, 2023.

The groundbreaking and the unveiling of the model ceremony, were performed by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo. Gov Soludo, was represented by the chief of staff of Anambra State, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi

Goodness Media reports that the proposed Solution Estate, Aguaba Layout, Awka, was a joint partnership project of Elite Minds Cooperative Society Limited and Umuike Family, Umuayom Village, Awka Town, Awka South LGA, Anambra State.

 

According to an information released to the public, and signed by the Board President, Elite Minds Cooperative Society Limited, Emeka Emmanuel Onwudinjo, the project when completed would be a 121 mixed housing units of terrace duplex and block of flats designed to have smart finishing and environment friendly infrastructures.

Onwudinjo, added that the project was intended to meet the housing needs of members of the Cooperative Society, who were predominately Anambra indigenes, and based in Nigeria and diaspora, as well as public servants, civil servants and private individuals. This was even as he stated that the payment plan for the housing project would be that of the National Housing Plan from the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, and other financial institutions.

The Board President of Elite Minds Cooperative Society in his presentation at the event, revealed that the housing project which was intended to move people from being land owners to home owners, was planned to be completed in a period of 24 months. He noted that the Solution Estate would go a long way to develop both Awka in particular and Anambra State in general.

Speaking on behalf of the state governor, the Chief of Staff of Anambra State, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, described the housing project as what would make Anambra a livable and prosperous homeland. He stated his conviction that the plans if be actualised as envisaged, that it would provide decent homes for the people of Anambra.

The chief of staff, who urged the developers to state to the proposed 24 months’ timeline, charged them also incorporate into the project, recreation centre, schools and hospitals which, he said, would serve the estate and those that would live in it.

He called on the Umuike People to work with the State Government, to possibly develop the area and other places so as to make Awka a beautiful city.

For his part, the Managing Director of Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, who was represented by the South East Zonal Director, Mr Chris Ibuzo, expressed his delight that the estate when completed, would provide home ownership to the people of Anambra.

Earlier in his address of welcome, the Secretary, Umuikenanunwa Elders Council, Umuayom Village, Awka, Ichie Christian Ndife, noted that the project was part of the contribution of the Family towards developing a new Awka City

Some other dignitaries among whom were the Anambra State Commissioner for Lands, Prof Offornze Amaucheazi; the CEO of Tracy Hotels Limited and a stakeholder of Umuike Family, Chief Dilim Okafor (Ochiagha Awka);  Coordinator, Anambra State Women Development Officers and Head of Personnel Management, Awka South LGA, Dr Mrs Ego Kate Okeke and the Deputy Director, Social Welfare, Awka South LGA, Lady Lilian Ejy-Akwuba (LSM).
